The Best Oral Goals to Have Throughout the Year

This is especially true when it comes to your oral health. It is never too late to make a commitment to improving how you care for your mouth.

Brush Twice a Day

If you find it difficult to brush regularly, make a goal to start brushing twice a day. Set reminders out in your bathroom, or start carrying a travel toothbrush with you to make it more convenient to brush when needed. An alarm on your cellphone or a specialized app may help you to remember to get your teeth brushed twice daily.

Take Two Minutes
Brushing twice a day isn't going to benefit your teeth than much if you aren't brushing for the appropriate amount of time. Set a timer to make sure you are brushing for two full minutes.

Dental Flossing

Even people who brush twice a day as recommended sometimes find it hard to floss. Perhaps they just forget or don't have time to do it. Flossing is an important part of a good oral hygiene regimen, so make it your goal to floss at least once per day.

Visit the Dentist

It is recommended that you visit your dentist for a cleaning and checkup once every six months. Of course, if you experience any problems or you have a history of oral issues, you may want to see him even sooner.

Making an appointment for your next cleaning at the end of your visit is a good way to plan ahead. Then, make sure you mark that date on your calendar so that you don't forget your follow up.
